About the Deep Andaman Queen -
Your Home for Your Thailand Liveaboard
Built in 2008 and fully renovated in 2019, the MV Deep Andaman Queen is one of the most popular Thailand liveaboards. Dedicated primarily to Andamans diving, she spends most of her time from mid-October to May each year in the northern region on our Similan Islands Liveaboard and Myanmar Liveaboard. From June to September, you’ll see her in waters further south on our Koh Lipe Liveaboard, Hin Daeng and Hin Muang Liveaboard, or exploring the Surin Islands on our South Andaman Liveaboard itinerary.
Custom Built for Scuba Diving in Thailand and Burma
There is a Colti Sub Nitrox membrane on board, meaning unlimited Enriched Air Nitrox fills are available for all of our divers. Our dive platform is one of the largest of any liveaboard in Thailand, ensuring safe and easy entry and exit on every dive. It comprises a wide and spacious equipment set-up area split between two levels, two exit ladders, and two freshwater showers for rinsing yourself and your equipment after every dive. We also have two large freshwater buckets for dive computers, torches, cameras, and other underwater photography equipment.
Comfortable and Luxurious Design
At MV Deep Andaman Queen, we believe Thailand liveaboards should be both practical and comfortable. With each of our liveaboards in Thailand and Myanmar starting at a 3-night stay, the boat has been designed for ultimate comfort with a luxurious feel. Our enormous sun deck is a favorite spot to relax between dives, review the theory elements of dive courses with your instructor, and gather in the evening to socialize, share scuba diving stories, and discuss the dive sites for the following day. For those looking for some respite from the sun, our classic saloon is the perfect place to relax. It features comfortable seating, a widescreen TV, and plenty of space to chill out with a book or review the photos and video footage from your dives.
Sleeping and Eating
Sleeping arrangements have also been thoroughly considered. The boat has a variety of air-conditioned cabins to suit an array of guest requirements, including ocean view rooms, twin, triple, and quad cabins, and deluxe double rooms. So whichever of our Thailand liveaboard routes you choose, you'll be ensured a comfortable and luxurious stay.
The mantra for any Thailand liveaboard is “eat, sleep, dive, repeat,” and our front-of-house and catering team go the extra mile to ensure your daily meals are above and beyond your expectations. Providing three full meals throughout the day in addition to snacks and refreshments, our food service is widely regarded as a highlight of each liveaboard trip. The cuisine encompasses western food and southern Thai specialties. We are happy to cater to guest requests where possible and are always accommodating of food allergies and other dietary requirements.

Our Boat Plan
Meet the Team
Our hardworking boat crew is key to the success of every liveaboard trip we operate. Each member of our team is an experienced professional in their field, and dedicated to providing our guests with the best service and experience possible.
Steve has several years of experience diving in Thailand and Burma. As a regular fixture on our Khao Lak and Phuket liveabaord departures, he’s led scuba diving expeditions all over the Andaman and beyond. He is familiar with all of the dive sites and marine life from the Burma Banks in the north to Koh Lipe, the Similans, and the Surin Islands in the south. He is professional, knowledgeable, kind, optimistic, and attentive - the perfect guide for your Thailand liveaboard!
Our handsome technician Golf is on hand to ensure that our electricity supply is stable and that all electrical devices on the boat are running efficiently. He also helps out on the dive deck, assisting guests in and out of their equipment.
Our resident strong man, P Kluay can carry pretty much anything and everything - and regularly does! He is on hand to assist our guests with anything dive related, and you’ll see him getting involved with everything from equipment preparation and maintenance to gear cleaning.
It’s not clean and shipshape unless P Sandee says so! While our guests are below the surface, P Sandee is hard at work making sure cabins, bathrooms, and communal areas are kept up to high standards and that all areas of our boat provide the comfort of home.
Steward and bar
A former bartender, P Krarok is in charge of keeping guests happy and hydrated on our Thailand liveaboards. During the day, he makes fresh coffee and serves light refreshments between dives. At night time, he’s on hand with refreshing cold beers and cocktails.
Captain Wat has more than 30 years of experience driving boats in the Andaman Sea. Having specialized in captaining scuba diving vessels for several years, he’s a safe and capable captain with an excellent working knowledge of dive sites and conditions.
An experienced cook with a particular flair for delicious southern Thai specialties, Nuek works hard to ensure our divers are well fed and fully satisfied after every meal. Guests never fail to be impressed with the quality of food Nuek delivers from such a small kitchen.
Every Thailand liveaboard boat needs a seasoned engineer. P Run is familiar with every part of the engine and all of the dive equipment and machinery onboard. He can fix anything and everything on the boat, and keeps everything running smoothly.
